Lover of shoes, music, cars, books, and movies.
I long to live in the fast lane.....if I could just find the gas pedal.
I normally don’t start anything on a day that’s not Monday but this is something that’s needed. I work hard to encourage folks to be better, to do better, be inspired, motivated, have faith, and keep pressing forward via @withlovejia. But as I keep saying to you guys, I’m not perfect. As a girl who suffers from a mental disorder (depression), I struggle at times with believing my own words and maintaining the faith that I push on others. Through the Grace of God, I manage. I barely make it on some days without feeling like ending it all, but I manage. What I have noticed is that in the moments that I’ve thought negatively or posted negatively, that feeling took over my day. Literally. I would dread going through a day because of negative BS that I anticipated. It wouldn’t even have to be real; my mind was already stuck because of perception and negative thinking overall. But I want to change that starting now. I’m signed up for #100happydays via 100happydays.com. Every day for 100 days, you post a photo of what makes you happy. It can be something as minor as a delicious apple you’re eating for #12thehardway or a photo of your abundance of edges and perfect eyebrows! Either or, every day for 100 days, I shall post a photo of something that makes me happy and would like to invite you all to do the same. When you find yourself posting a negative meme here, on twitter or Facebook, replace it with something positive instead. I will only be posting this @jiaomg and not here (reserving this page for health and fitness). If you’d like to follow and participate, please do so and each time you post a pic, use the hashtag #OMGIMHAPPY so that I can watch your progress (you don’t have to follow jiaOMG to participate but please use the hashtag so I can share in your happiness). It will be interesting to see what comes of this. Starting this today! In addition to taking care of our bodies, we have to take care of our minds. What good is a great body if your heart and mind aren’t filled with happiness? Who’s down with me?
